Well, it’s been quite a while since I’ve posted anything here. I feel pretty bad about it and even writing this I’ve got a big spike in anxiety levels, but just gotta get through! In any case, I’ve been kinda absent for the past year. After losing my beloved cat, and then my stepfather to terminal cancer, plus some changes in my personal life, I’ve been in a cycle of burnout and depression. Every few months I get a burst of energy and start a new project, only to give up halfway. There’s a dozen partily written articles in my drafts. Craft projects and books I’ve cracked into and swear I’ll finish litter my house. I feel like I pull myself a bit out of the hole during these good moments, only to slip further down the rope I’m climbing.
Even when my novella COSMIC DYKE PATROL released this February, my excitement was under the same fog the rest of my life perpertually feels buried under. I’m very happy with the book, and I thank everyone who’s read it thus far. One of those drafts I mentioned goes into some of the background details and inspiration for CDP, so hopefully that’ll be of interest to readers! Maybe this will kick my butt into gear on finishing that!
Basically, I’m a work in progress, and often that progress is minuscule. During my time helping out suppoort groups years ago, one of our Peers would say “you just gotta look back at your footsteps” so I’m trying to emulate that in his memory.
THE FLESH OF THE SEA is currently out of print due to the publisher’s closure. We are looking for a new home, though.
INSIDE OUT and GOOP TROOP reprints are still underway.

I’ll also be at LITTLE GHOSTS FEST this September 26th-27th and be featured on at least one panel, so if you’re in the Toronto area, I’d love to see you. It was a ton of fun last year and I have no doubt 2026 will be even better.
